Amendments to Occupational Health and Safety Regulation in effect December 1, 2021

New and revised regulatory requirements are now in effect for combustible and flammable liquids, radiation dose limits, traffic control, concrete pump operators, blasting, arboriculture, and logging load securement.
Amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation came into effect on December 1, 2021. These amendments apply to the following sections:
- Combustible and flammable liquids (Part 5)
- Ionizing radiation — dose limits to the lens of the eye (Part 7)
- Traffic control (Part 18)
- Certification of concrete pump operators (Part 20)
- Blasting operations (Part 21)
- Arborists and arboriculture (Part 26)
- Logging truck load securement (Part 26)
Some non-substantive changes, including changed terminology and cross-references to the above amended sections, were also made throughout the OHS Regulation. New and revised OHS guidelines are also available to provide additional information and support.
